Registration opens at 5:30pm. 
Field dedication at 6:00pm,
Game starts at 6:30pm. 
After party as Junior's Bar and Grill in East Greenbush NY.

For over 70 years, Sorensco Baseball has been serving Southern Rensselaer County and surrounding areas with quality travel and recreational baseball.  Incorporated as the East Greenbush – Schodack Businessmen’s League, Inc., in 1954, and later becoming East Greenbush Babe Ruth, then Sorensco Baseball, the league has been home to thousands of players over the last seven decades, many of whom went on to play high school, college, and professional baseball, and had distinguished coaching careers.  The inaugural Sorensco Baseball Alumni Game celebrates this rich history, and we hope all those who have passed through will join us to catch up with old friends and participate in the festivities.

Field Dedication

Sorensco Field will be renamed in honor of Jim Finke (1940-2024) and his 50 years of service to Sorensco and Babe Ruth baseball. Jim had a lifelong love of our national pastime and believed that every child should have the opportunity to play baseball, regardless of age or income. Jim began as a coach in the East Greenbush Babe Ruth League in 1973, served on the Board of Directors from 1976-1988, and was President from 1983-1988, overseeing the transition from EGBRL to Sorensco Baseball. He was the District 4 Commissioner for Eastern New York Babe Ruth from 1987-1998 and State Commissioner from 1988-2006. He also served as an Assistant Regional Commissioner for Middle Atlantic Region Babe Ruth Leagues from 2004-2022. In 2005, he was inducted into the Eastern New York State Babe Ruth Hall of Fame, and in 2017, he was inducted into the Middle Atlantic Region Baseball Hall of Fame.
